ABOUT VALENTIN HADELICH

With years of experience in the field of urban development, residential, office, Hospitality and Retail projects of all sizes, I love to work with our internal and external clients bringing our Ideas into reality.As Regional Head Italy and Project Director at ParkProperty Europe in the Investment Team I am responsible for a large range of new project ideas and developments in Italy and Southern GermanyI focus both on Research in cities with high potential for large and medium scale Residential and Mixed use developments as well as on the frameworks to realize these projects, the financial feasibility, building right and permit as well as on the first design ideas and architectural studies.Since 2016 I lecture at the IRE|BS International Real Estate Business School teaching in different curriculum and programs.I have presented and published my work at numerous international conferences in Europe and the US and always look for the chance to expand my network in the research community. As project manager I had the chance to contributor to the publication Stadt – Center: Ein neues Format für die urbane Mitte (editors: Wolfgang Christ, Franz Pesch) that describes a new form of urban shopping developments defining typological challenges and dos and don’ts for integrated urban retail developments.Prior to my engagement with ECE I worked for four years as Assistant Professor at the Chair of Urban Design and Planning of Prof. Wolfgang Christ at Bauhaus University Weimar and helped found the Urban INDEX Institute in Darmstadt, working there up to 10/2013.For my pioneering work as an architect, researcher and educator, I had the honor the be awarded the “New Urban Research” Prize in 2012 as part of the CNU20 Congress in Palm Beach, Florida.I have the qualification of “Maestro d’Arte” after completing the five-year Art studies program at the ISA (Istituto Statale d’Arte) di Volterra in Tuscany, Italy.I studied at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar where I was assistant at the IfEU (Institute for European Urbanism) and at the École Spéciale d’Architecture (ESA) in Paris.
