ABOUT VALENTINA M. GALVIS
Lawyer by training, negotiator and teacher at heart. During law school, I discovered a passion for negotiation, winning two national competitions and competing internationally. Today, I continue to teach at Osgoode as part of the Lawyer as a Negotiator course, where I’ve now been involved for three semesters. Teaching in that setting has shaped how I aim to approach my work, with a focus on bridging theory and practice to make complex issues clear, practical, and people-centered.I have supported transactions ranging from M&A deals, financing transactions and corporate reorganizations, along with reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts including SaaS agreements, master services agreements, and NDAs. My ongoing involvement in teaching and mentorship continues to influence how I approach contract review and conflict resolution: not just as technical tasks, but as opportunities to build clarity, trust, and strong partnerships. I am especially interested in how AI is reshaping the way businesses operate and transforming the role of legal functions within them. Outside of work, I practice mindful meditation, prioritize movement through strength training, yoga, and pilates, and love the energy of live concerts.
