ABOUT VALENTINA PAGGIARIN

I like working with words: writing, translating, creating concepts and shaping them into projects and stories.Since 2012 I have been working as producer for short movies, branded content, advertising, and as writer and director for 360º & VR projects. In 2017 I have completed my first 360º sci-fi short movie as writer and director:\"Dreams of Blue\", produced by Hive Division, has become a case in the VR landscape and has been selected to compete in the Sitges Film Festival, for the Halo Awards of the VR Days 2017 and several other festivals worldwide (a lot of them, actually). I won a Lumiere Award at Stereopsia 2019.I enjoy working on videogame-related projects, for virtual reality and for traditional narrative (short stories & novels).Before working on virtual reality and 360º productions, I\'ve been working as a Freelance Translator first, then as an Interactive Writer for the game and movie industry, appreciating both the experiences and learning a lot from them.I like spreading the videoludic culture, and from 2006 to 2010 I\'ve directed an academical study group focused on videogames in Milan, with the GamesLab initative growing a lot, interacting with students and helping them out with their thesis, articles, essays and ideas. I\'ve been coordinating information, communication and helped the members of the group getting in touch with international videoludic companies.I have extensive experience in teaching (college translation courses, with a particular focus on new media and videogames).I love interacting with others and cooperating, to shape raw ideas into well-refined works.I like art in any form, I have a deep passion for literature, videogames and interactive narrative, movies and cinema and I\'m keen on experimenting new ways of involvement and emotional suggestions.Specialties: Narration, Translation, Concept Creation, Game Studies, Scriptwriting, Videogames, VR, 360º
