ABOUT VALENTINA LIBRI

I am responsible for molecular profiling and singe-cell RNAseq at the Cytometry and Biomarker UTechS (https://research.pasteur.fr/en/tool/single-cell-genomics/) at the Institute Pasteur, a technology platform committed to support biomedical research through cutting-edge technologies. Prior to joining the CB UTechS I carried out academic research on immune memory and ageing in host-pathogen interaction, at the Pasteur institute first and at the University College London then. At the University of Edinburgh I investigated further the molecular mechanism of host-pathogen interaction and the role of non-coding RNAs during viral infection. I significantly contributed to the set up and success of the “The Milieu Intérieur” Project an international project aiming at defining the genetic and environmental determinants of immune phenotype variance, establishing a path towards personalized medicine. My experience in European academic laboratories and in a highly performing technology platform allows me to rapidly capture both the scientific question and the technological need of any new project. I proactively establish collaborations and I easily interact with researchers and colleagues at any level. I engage with enthusiasm and team spirit to achieve goals in the respect of deadlines. Specialties: single-cell sequencing, molecular biology, Immunology.
