ABOUT VALENTINA GIANNINI
My interest has been focusing on planning and decision making since I have started working in 1997. My current work (started in 2008) is the provision of knowledge for Climate change adaptation, it includes supporting decision making processes (i.e. integrating science and traditional knowledge) and participatory processes (e.g. capacity building, information sharing and empowerment), focusing on impacts of climate on society and on how to prevent and mitigate these. Previously (19••••05) I worked as an architect, urban designer and land-use planner for eight years (Italy), concentrating on bioclimatic architecture and urban planning, and taught in the Studio of Urban Planning at the Politecnico di Milano (Italy).
