An experienced executive, a creative leader, a serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the life science industry and MD degree, I brought companies from inception to major value inflection. I am the inventor of over 50 issued and pending patents and the author of 15 scientific and medical articles.As co-founder of Hemostemix, a Canadian public company, I am the inventor of the technology and led the company’s activities from inception to enrolling patients in a multinational Ph 2 clinical trial. In 2003, I founded and led Theravitae from the scientific concept, which I devised, to receiving the 2006 Technology Pioneer Award from the World Economic Forum. As a delegate at the WEF Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, I moderated a regenerative medicine session. In 1997, I co-founded Proneuron Biotechnologies; one of the first cell therapy companies in the industry. As Senior VP of Development, I helped the company grow from early preclinical data in the academia to FDA-approved Ph 2 trials. I also co-founded Riolan Ophthalmics, a company focused on the re-purposing of a small molecule drug to a new ophthalmic indication.
