ABOUT VAL MONTANEZ
Hi! I\'m Val Montanez and I am currently a senior at the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas. I am majoring in multimedia journalism and double minoring in photography and sports management. My goal is to become a sports photographer or photojournalist for a news publication or work for a professional team. I have experience in a newsroom, editing, writing, graphic design and publishing. I am currently the Multimedia Editor at the University Daily Kansan, KU\'s student-run newspaper. I also freelance high school sports for Lawrence Journal-World, one of Lawrence\'s newspapers and worked as a photography intern for the Kansas City Monarchs.
