ABOUT VAISHNAVI SRIDHAR

Hi my name is Vaishnavi! I just graduated Summa Cum Laude from San Diego State University with a major in Business Management with a specialization in Human Resources and a minor in Political Science. Most recently, I was the President of Society for Human Resource Management, SDSU Chapter. I joined SHRM as a second-year to learn more about HR and get involved on campus. I ended up loving the chapter and everything it had to offer. Since then I have served as the Co-Marketing and Media Director, Events Coordinator, Secretary, Vice President, and now President. SHRM has given me the ability to grow professionally and network with so many students and professionals in HR. Through SHRM I have been able to develop many skills such as public speaking, team-work, leadership, organization, time management, problem solving, and so much more. I have also completed an HR internship at Avidity Biosciences where I got to apply my classroom knowledge of HR into a real-world setting. As an intern, I created an internal mentorship framework and learned about a variety of HR functions such as: recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, compensation, employee relations, and data input.
