About Vaibhavi Balaji
I’m a final-year Aerospace Engineering student at SASTRA University, India, with a strong passion for composite materials, structural mechanics, and aerospace manufacturing.My academic journey blends hands-on industrial experience with deep research exposure. I’ve interned at Data Patterns, contributing to thermal design and materials selection for aerospace systems developed in collaboration with ISRO and DRDO, and at Kun Aerospace, where I gained practical skills in component manufacturing, quality assurance, and CAD-based design.Currently, I’m conducting research on CNT-reinforced GFRP composite shells, exploring their impact resistance characteristics through a blend of experimental testing and simulation with the work now under review for publication.I’m proficient in ANSYS Fluent, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MATLAB, and I’ve completed certifications in rocket propulsion (in partnership with ISRO) and machine learning for materials science (IIT Madras).With a solid foundation in both engineering applications and research, I am actively seeking a research internship for Jan–June 2026, focused on aerospace materials, thermal-structural analysis, or advanced composites.
