As an A/P for 6+ properties at Easton\'s Group of Hotels, my responsibilities are listed below -1. Regularly reconciling vendor AP statements and working with them to resolve and discrepancies.2. Building strong rapport with the vendors & team members through politeness, respect and cooperation.3. Reviewing accuracy of invoices, expense claims, petty cash reports, special cheque requisitions and more before inputting them into Great Plains (GP).4. Performing basic accounting tasks alongside the main job-related duties as an Accounts Payable Coordinator & assisting the Operations Accountants as requested.5. Respecting the internal & external stakeholders\' privacy and maintaining utmost confidentiality while processing sensitive payables.6. Liaising with the hotels\' accounting staff & coordinating the entire AP process.7. Working monthly (or as and when required) with senior management to maintain a clean AP Ageing report and also to minimize any potential vendor-related escalations, if any.8. Receiving, researching and work out a numerous day-to-day internal and external inquiries regarding account status, invoice retrievals, backup filing, and communicating the resolution of such inquiries to the appropriate party.9. Maintaining an organized & user-friendly workflow allowing colleagues to take over tasks in case of an absence or emergency.10. Properly handling & filing of all invoice/cheque backups so as to allow ease of retrieval.11. Assisting in working towards a paperless environment.12. Double-check the invoice coding before inputting in to Great Plains and starting the payment process.13. Preparing & processing urgent payments through Wire, EFT, Cheque and/or Credit Card.14. Maintain & create excel templates to enable quick and accurate upload of high volume transactions into GP.15. Timely payment of general invoices, HST, Franchise Fees, MAT, Lodging Tax, Management Fees, Utilities, Withholding Taxes, etc.
