Legends of Learning (legendsoflearning.com) is a Maryland based startup focusing on game based learning to advance American education. Our standards-aligned games help teachers make lessons fun and accessible, and encourage students to take personal responsibility for their education. We use ongoing original research to create learning games that deliver a wide range of lessons for stronger subject mastery and classroom engagement. Teachers use our marketplace to easily find and select the games that match their weekly curriculum and augment their lesson plans. Students play our personalized learning mode at home to extend learning time outside of the classroom. Over 1 million K-8 students use Legends of Learning monthly, in school and at home, to learn their math and science curriculum.

ABOUT VADIM POLIKOV
I love to learn and I love to build. Bold new ideas excite me and I want to put them into practice. I see my career as a series of ideas built to fruition and scale. I want to make an impact and I believe creating self-sustaining for-profit businesses is the best way to make an ongoing impact. I believe entrepreneurship is an incredible process that creates value, ideas, jobs, and products. It is a big reason why the US is such an amazing country.I have built three successively larger businesses and am now focused on building the next one, a really exciting Ed Tech startup that uses games to help teachers teach in the classroom. I also act as an angel investor on the side.I am incredibly thankful for Duke University, which provided my undergraduate and graduate education, and for the Baltimore community, which provided a fantastic childhood. I hope to be able to give back to both communities.
