ABOUT VADIM M.

Hello, my name is Vadim Mell and I am currently a first year associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP specializing in Intellectual Property, and specifically, patent litigation. I graduated from Cardozo School of Law in New York City. Prior to Willkie, I passed the Patent Bar, received my registration number, and was a patent agent at Fay, Kaplun, & Marcin LLP. My passion for the field stems from biomedical engineering and having worked at Fay, Kaplun & Marcin LLC, an intellectual property law firm in NYC, for over three years. There I have grown and developed as both a person and as a student pursuing a future in this field. At the firm, I have worked predominantly on Office Actions involving biomedical engineering and mechanical devices.I previously graduated from Macaulay Honors College at City College in NYC with a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering. As a senior, I worked on a capstone project sponsored by NYU Neurology. As part of a senior-design group, we developed a system for training and helping patients with Multiple Sclerosis who are unable to properly use their upper body. The purpose of the system was to evaluate the patients and help them recover fine motor functions of their hands.
