Working in the Seagate Springtown site, large microelectronics exporter plant with over £2bill of wafer fabrication equipment- Working on the next generation of HAMR (Heat assisted magnetic recording) enabled hard disks, that micro laser integrated heads and higher curie temperature magnetic materials to increase storage density- Part of the Research and Development Sector at Seagate Springtown- First project around maturing and advancing disruptive manufacturing processes, including a scratch built topographical analysis for mass analysis and metrology measurements of samples simultaneously- Latter project around developing toolkits for the Photonics-test fabrication team, including upgrading production analysis tools to extrapolate photonics performance parameters for lasers- Additional projects working in FE Multiphysics (mechanical, thermal, RF) simulations for lasers.
