ABOUT UZMA FAROOQUE

A postgraduate in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics with a strong passion for data-driven biological research, drug discovery, and computational analysis. With hands-on experience in multi-omics data analysis, protein modeling, statistical programming and clinical data reporting, I strive to translate complex biological data into actionable insights. My skillset spans: 1. Bioinformatics & Drug Discovery: RNA-seq, genome assembly, SNP analysis, microarray, ChIP seq, protein modeling, molecular docking (AutoDock Vina), molecular dynamics (GROMACS), molecular visualization and editing (PyMOL, Chimera, Discovery Studio) 2. Data Analytics & Reporting: Clinical data analysis using R and SAS, report generation (CSRs), Excel-based analytics, satistical modelling and data visualization in R. Systems Biology: DEG identification, PPI networks, enrichment analysis (KEGG, Reactome), drug-target studies. Programming & Technical Tools : Python, R, C/C++, Java, SQL, Shell scripting, HTML, MySQL, and database/web app management 5. Linux Expertise : Experienced in working with Linux environments and proficient in using Linux command-line tools for bioinformatics data processing, file handling, and automation. I’m also a fast learner and genuinely enthusiastic about expanding my toolset — eager to adapt to new technologies, platforms, and analytical methods as required by the role or project. I’m currently seeking opportunities in bioinformatics, data analytics, computational biology, or clinical data science, where I can apply my cross-functional expertise and continue to grow.
