Our planet is heating at an unprecedented rate and we are undoubtedly in the middle of a climate emergency that’s rearing its head with prolonged drought, sea-level rise and extreme weather events. Sadly, nearly half of the world still lives in extreme poverty on less than $5.50 a day. Despite an abundance of food being produced, 1 out of every 9 humans will likely go to bed hungry tonight.I decided early on in my career that I wanted to dedicate my time to address our planet’s greatest environmental and social challenges, including climate change and food security. Although these challenges are extremely complex and sometimes disillusioning to try and tackle, I’m confident that if there’s enough of us dedicated to addressing these issues, we can turn the tides and progress towards equitable sustainable development. I’m a dynamic sustainability professional specializing in corporate sustainability strategy, ESG reporting and climate risk management. I have 7+ years of global experience in sustainability and supporting the scale-up of big ideas.
