ABOUT UZAIB SAYA
I am a policy researcher and health economist using tools from microeconomics and public health to evaluate the impact of health interventions and health investments. Currently, I am an International Economist with the President\'s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) at the Bureau for Global Health Security and Diplomacy (U.S. Department of State). I previously worked with GSA\'s Office of Evaluation Sciences where I used behavioral science to assist federal agencies build and evaluate the use of evidence. At the RAND Corporation, I used experimental and quasi-experimental methods, along with qualitative methods to explore health-related decision-making and the impact of health interventions in low and middle-income countries. I have also worked with international donors and NGOs providing technical assistance on global health financing, maternal and child health, and health systems strengthening projects across Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. I hold a PhD in policy analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School, and master\'s and bachelor\'s degrees from Harvard (health policy and management) and Williams (history and international studies).
