Started programming at the age of 12 on an Amstrad CPC 464, moved on to fiddling around with NetBSD and Slackware just for fun, then ended up working as a freelance web developer for years. Worked mainly with *nix systems such as Solaris for a long while. Enjoyed the painful but solid Oracle Database, divorced MySQL, fell in love with PostgreSQL, experienced the excruciating *joy* of working with PHP.Eventually got pulled into being a Payments & Fraud developer, working with the.NET stack. Had a range of experience working with various pieces of tech such as Silverlight, Entity Framework, ASP.NET MVC, etc. while building enterprise software over the years.Currently enjoying simpler and more fine-tuned pieces of tech such as.NET (core) and Dapper in a highly performant environment.Used to be an avid Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player, until it became littered with aim-bots. I mainly play indie games these days.
