ABOUT UWE PLATZ

I am a specialist in Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery with a dedicated focus on spinal surgery and the treatment of spinal deformities, particularly adolescent idiopathic scoliosis and complex spinal disorders. In my current role as Chief of Spine Surgery, I am committed to combining evidence-based medicine, surgical precision, and patient-centered care at the highest level.My clinical work covers the full spectrum of modern spine surgery, including deformity correction, degenerative spinal conditions, and minimally invasive as well as microsurgical techniques. A key aspect of my practice is the integration of current clinical guidelines, technological innovation, and long-term outcome-oriented decision-making.Beyond clinical practice, I am actively involved in medical education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the continuous advancement of spine surgery through structured training and academic exchange.
