Bonjour, Hi- Mwiriwe My name is Uwayo. I am rooted in lived experience, shaped by multiple paths of migration, and guided by a deep commitment to navigating our interconnected complex globalized world with purpose and drive. I contribute to the intersections of policy, community engagement and empowerment with a people-centric approach, drawing from years of professional and academic experience across sectors, borders, and communities.I am a grateful and proud multilingual African woman; my journey has taken me from West and East Africa to North America and Northern Europe—learning, unlearning, and collaborating in a diversity of spaces. I’ve worked across public institutions, NGOs, and grassroots movements, in roles that span from policy analysis to community facilitation, and strategic communications. My focus is to contribute meaningfully to initiatives that center results-based action. These experiences brought me to believe in transformative change through community empowerment and inclusive collaboration—particularly when they are supported by intentional goals, network expertise and institutional ecosystems. Anything art, literature, or culture is of interest to me: they are underrated tools and vessels for raising awareness and building safe and healthy communities. When I’m not working, you can find me painting, visiting a museum, planning my next travel itinerary, babysitting nieces and nephews, or diving into a good book (2026 reading goal: 20 books ).Looking ahead, I’m eager to grow in the areas of:🤖 Generative AI; Storytelling and briefing for impact;🤝 People leadership; Project management; & all innovative possible intersections of the above.
