As a Principal Engineer, I lead backend development for a nation-scale B2C payments platform, owning critical retail and merchant payment systems that serve 2million+ UPI payments and 800k+ merchant payments daily. I focus on building highly scalable, reliable, and secure transaction platforms that deliver seamless experiences for merchants, consumers, and back-office administrators. My work emphasizes distributed systems and microservice architectures, with hands-on expertise in Spring Framework, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and AWS.I design and build end-to-end payment experiences across multiple channels, including UPI, cards, proprietary payment networks, and external processors, with deep integration into in-house issued account systems. Beyond payments, I contribute across core platform capabilities such as account management, card management, rewards, and other foundational modules.My interests lie in architecting large-scale, resilient platforms across both 0-to-1 product creation and 1x-to-10x growth phases, with a strong focus on domain-driven design, security, and regulatory compliance within banking and payments ecosystems
