Utsab Bhattacharyya is a Senior Consultant in the Data & Analytics team at EY, with strong hands-on experience in Data Science, AI/ML, Deep Learning, and Advanced Analytics. His technical expertise includes Python, SQL, Snowflake, MS Power BI, MS Power Apps, Dataverse, and enterprise-scale analytics solutions, with a consistent focus on translating analytical insights into business impact.He has delivered advanced analytics solutions across multiple domains, including customer analytics, pricing analytics and strategy, demand forecasting, customer segmentation, marketing mix modelling, building damage detection, and predictive health analytics. His work reflects a strong balance between technical depth and practical problem-solving.Currently deployed at AstraZeneca, Utsab works in the area of supply chain analytics, contributing to business growth through advanced analytical modelling while also handling critical standard activities such as segmentation, monitoring, and reporting. He serves as the Data Science Coach for the team and has developed complex applications integrating actuals, forecasts, financial plans, and net pricing using Power BI and Power Apps with sophisticated architectures and writeback features. He has led Snowflake model migrations, contributed to standard activity improvisation, and is presently involved in a Power BI and ML project supporting critical budget cycle processes. He regularly works with multiple business stakeholders and has received continuous appreciation and awards for his contributions. He also contributes to RFP preparation, client documentation, and technical interviewing at EY.Alongside industry work, Utsab has a strong research background and has been associated with St. Berchmans College, India, and Gachon University, South Korea. His research spans quantum mechanics, computational chemistry, chemoinformatics, and machine learning, resulting in nine international publications with over 280 citations. His h-index and i10-index are both 8.He is a double master’s degree holder and an alumnus of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira (Belur Math), Pondicherry University, and Hult International Business School (Massachusetts, USA). He is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science (AI & Data Science) at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira (Affiliated to University of Calcutta), where his research focuses on swarm intelligence–based AI frameworks, distance-aware learning, and optimization techniques for unlabelled physiological signal analysis and early risk discovery.
