Hello everyone,I am currently pursuing my CA Final and working as an Article Trainee with SPCM and Associates, Pune gaining practical experience and exposure to various aspects of accounting, taxation, and audit functions across multiple sectors of industry. My role involved collaborating with senior professionals to deliver accurate and timely audit reports, preparing tax returns, and supporting clients in tax assessments and litigation matters.Key Responsibilities and Experience - Assisted in planning and executing audits in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Reviewed financial statements, supporting documents, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements- Gained experience in handling both direct and indirect tax compliance, including preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR), Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns, and TDS filings for individuals, firms, and companies. Conducted tax planning for clients, identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring adherence to legal frameworks- Assisted in tax litigation matters, helping clients prepare documents and responses for tax assessments, appeals, and rectifications with authorities like the Income Tax Department and GST authorities. Drafted and reviewed replies to tax notices issued by tax authorities, ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements- Acted as a liaison between clients and senior auditors, ensuring effective communication and smooth execution of audits. Assisted in presenting findings and recommendations to clients, addressing queries related to financial reports, tax issues, and audit observations.Through my experience as an Article Trainee, I have developed a robust understanding of statutory audits, taxation, financial reporting, and client communication. I have gained practical insights into the regulatory, legal, and financial aspects of accounting, which has greatly enhanced my technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. Moreover, I have honed my ability to manage complex tasks, work collaboratively in a team, and adapt to various industries and clients. These experiences have prepared me to tackle the challenges of the CA Final exams and transition seamlessly into a full-fledged professional role in accounting and finance.
