   Managing the day-to-day operations of the Engineering and Maintenance department; governing the requested, corrective, emergency, predictive, breakdown and preventative maintenance of machinery.• Review plant backlog and all maintenance requirements to recommend measures to avoid repetitive breakdowns• Tracking maintenance expenditures by the development of maintenance reports and relevant expenditure reports• Planning, purchasing and monitoring the inventory of all maintenance supplies, critical spares and plant equipment repair parts including long-lead items and imported items• Implementing daily / monthly /annual preventive maintenance check sheet & also testing of electrical installation in compliance with legal requirements• Developing capital equipment justifications for machinery to improve quality, cost, safety, productivity and cycle times• Responsible for driving Safety Performance to achieve and maintain the highest number of accident-free working days• Overseeing and managing the design and construction activities of the projects throughout the development process• Member of the selection panel responsible for empanelling the project management consultant and the vendors• Coordinating the preparation and submission of drawing and application for DTCP, CEIG, TNFRS, DISH, TNPCB, SIPCOT and Local panchayat for obtaining construction and pre-construction approvals• Independently governing the planning and implementation of civil, PEB, electricals, mechanicals, firefighting, water supply, admin, IT, HVAC, decorations and landscaping• Ensures projects are completed within time schedules and budgets and follow plans, specifications, code requirements and system facility standards
