ABOUT USMAN KHAN

I am a passionate Electrical Engineering student at the University of Calgary, with a strong focus on power systems, renewable energy, and smart grids. Throughout my academic journey, I have deepened my knowledge through specialized courses such as the Engineering Leadership Certificate Program and the Advanced Engineering Entrepreneurship course. Currently, I am working as a Stations Intern at FortisBC, where I am gaining hands-on experience in the maintenance and operation of electrical substations. This opportunity allows me to further develop my technical skills and understanding of the energy sector. I am excited to be part of an industry driving sustainable and innovative solutions. In addition to my internship, I have worked as a Sales Associate at Team Town Sports, where I built strong communication and customer service skills by engaging with clients and providing personalized recommendations. I have also volunteered at the 24th World Petroleum Congress and as a Neo Campus Ambassador, gaining valuable experience in event coordination and community outreach. I am eager to contribute to projects that have a positive impact on both society and the environment, leveraging my technical expertise and practical experience. I am always open to learning from professionals in the field and continuing to develop my skills in communication, leadership, and teamwork.
