Provide ongoing field support to ensure safety requirements and targets are met for multiple project sites in the GTA.• Create and implement policies, programs, and procedures related to Occupational Health & Safety (OH & S).• Develop and train employees in safety management best practices, facilitate hazard identification and safe work procedures, and deliver safety training.• Lead the Workplace Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC).• Work closely with management to minimize workplace injuries and operational losses.• Develop and implement an OH & S vision, short- and long-term strategies, and action plans, serving as an advisor to the Company\'s management committee.• Advise on OH & S policies and compliance, staying up to date on changing legislation.• Participate in the identification, evaluation, control, and management of hazards and risks throughout the organization.• Conduct audits to assess compliance with OH & S policies and regulations, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.• Successfully achieve the Certificate of Recognition (COR) by demonstrating compliance with high safety standards and best practices.• Lead incident and accident investigation procedures and develop recommendations to prevent future occurrences.• Manage WSIB claims and provide required reporting.• Prepare safety reports, statistics, and general updates to Management as required.• Contribute to emergency planning initiatives and participate in regular inspections for fire hazards and associated prevention and risk reduction strategies.
