About Ushma Shah
Ushma holds a BSc (Hons) in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science.She currently works in the Product and Growth team at Model ML, a fintech startup automating workflows for financial services companies using AI. Prior to this, she was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Mosaic Wellness, where she helped build a new D2C health and wellness brand, Root Labs, for the U.S. market.Before transitioning into startups, Ushma spent six years in finance across private equity and investment banking. During this time, she worked on multiple transactions including PE fundraises, M&A, and IPOs, totalling approximately US$500 million. She has cleared CFA Level I (June 2018) and Level II (June 2019) in her first attempts, scoring in the >90th percentile.Having operated on both sides - deep in the trenches of financial analysis and later in fast moving startup environments - Ushma brings a rare blend of analytical rigour and execution driven ownership.
