At Samsara, I design and deploy AI/ML and GenAI solutions to improve fleet safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. I built GenAI-powered copilots and assistants using LLMs, RAG pipelines, and OpenAI function calling to summarize telematics, safety reports, and regulatory policies, providing real-time insights and compliance guidance for fleet managers.I engineered ML and deep learning models including CNNs, transfer learning, and gradient boosting for defect detection, driver safety scoring, and predictive maintenance. My work also spans topic modeling, clustering, anomaly detection, and geospatial analytics to uncover patterns in IoT and telematics data, reducing fleet incidents and enabling data-driven interventions.To ensure robustness and scalability, I implemented ML pipelines in Databricks, utilizing CI/CD with MLflow and Terraform, as well as monitoring frameworks for drift detection, bias detection, and reproducibility. I also leveraged dimensionality reduction, data augmentation, and automated APIs for incident triaging and large-scale data readiness. These efforts directly improved compliance adherence, reduced risk, and drove measurable ROI across Samsara’s fleet operations.
