The US-New York State Chaplain Response Team Incorporated operates as a 501(c)(3) Not-For-Profit entity, focusing on the training, development, and maintenance of highly skilled volunteer Inter-Faith Community Crisis Chaplains. Our approach emphasizes active listening over speaking and offers honest moral and spiritual guidance to all, regardless of their beliefs or cultural background, while refraining from promoting any specific faith, belief system, or personal or political views. Furthermore, all our volunteer chaplains have undergone comprehensive background checks at the local, state, and federal levels. They are certified in FEMA IS100c – Incident Command System and Protocols, FEMA IS505 – Religious and Cultural Literacy and Competency, as well as in Mental Health First Aid, First Aid, CPR & AED, and Opioid Overdose Reversal. We take pride in delivering round-the-clock, year-round emergency spiritual and emotional support services. Our chaplains stand ready to volunteer across a wide range of fields, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospices, law enforcement agencies, VA Clinics, shelters, re-entry centers, transit authorities, soup kitchens, food pantries, corporate environments, community-based organizations (CBOs), faith-based organizations (FBOs), addiction treatment centers, prisons, and jails. MISSION STATEMENT: Our mission is to educate, maintain, and deploy highly skilled Inter-Faith Spiritual Care First Responders who can deliver quality and safe spiritual, emotional, and mental health support services, both in times of peace and during crises, 24 hours a day.
