ABOUT UROOBA ALI

I am a fourth-year PharmD candidate at the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy. In 2020, I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Public Health Science and a minor in Spanish Language, Culture, and Professional Contexts. My pharmaceutical interests primarily reside in public health and pharmaceutical industry, with a keen focus on regulatory affairs. My passion for public health is rooted in my aspiration to tackle healthcare disparities and barriers to healthcare access. I hope to pursue these public health and pharmaceutical interests through a PharmD degree and via a future career as a pharmacist. I am currently working as a certified pharmacy technician at Weis Pharmacy where I first developed an interest in acquiring a PharmD degree. Working in a community pharmacy setting revealed the vital role pharmacists play in bridging gaps that prevent access to healthcare. My ultimate goal is to acquire a career as a pharmacist where I can advance the public health interests of society.
