   Hired to build a fully integrated IT/OT organization from scratch, Urs took on a complex leadership challenge in one of Genentech’s most regulated environments. Site teams were skeptical, automation groups resisted the shift, and global tools didn’t align with local realities.He stood up a 40-person team, secured buy-in across departments, and bridged the cultural divide between global IT and on-the-ground operations. Alongside this, he helped lead two massive transformations—a new SAP rollout and MES system upgrade—both critical to Genentech’s shift into digital manufacturing.​When systems clashed and production was on the line, Urs became the voice of execution, ensuring continuity without compromise.
