Durham, NC, US

I served as a research assistant for faculty at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University on various projects related to political economy, climate change, and labor institutions. In one project, I worked with researchers from various institutions, including the World Bank, to replicate and extend analysis from a previous study, including generating harmonized datasets and validating indices through variable comparison. I contributed to the development of updated replication code and documentation, created and refined do-files, and conducted harmonization of administrative codes across datasets from different years to ensure consistency. In another project, I analyzed union election data and identified county-level firm locations by developing and iteratively refining AI-assisted research protocols to code historical employer locations, incorporating confidence scoring, source documentation, and manual verification to ensure reliability.
