About Upendra Gadre
With over 30 years of experience in corporate finance, I am a seasoned executive who drives business growth and profitability through strategic financial planning, analysis, and digitization. I am currently the Group CFO - Veedol an iconic brand for 100 years.Before joining Veedol, I worked as Executive VP in Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals Ltd. In that role, I supported various business verticals to optimize their performance and achieve their goals. I was also responsible for handling costing and corporate finance for the group, as well as leading and implementing a digitization drive to enhance efficiency and productivity. Previously, I served as the Interim Group CFO and Group Vice President Finance at TATA AutoComp Systems Ltd, where I managed the Strategy, Business Finance, Legal & Secretarial, financial shared services, taxation, treasury, and accounting functions for 13 domestic entities with a turnover of USD 2 billion. I also guided new joint ventures, finance strategy, and digitization initiatives for the group. Throughout my career, I have successfully completed multiple projects involving private placement of equity, green field project coordination, funding arrangement, interest cost reduction, transfer pricing, and state VAT/CST assessments. I have a strong track record of delivering clean audits, negative working capital, and highly engaged finance teams. I hold a CFA credential from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India and a BE (Instrumentation) from the College of Engineering Pune. I am passionate about leveraging my finance expertise and leadership skills to create value for my organization and stakeholders.
