ABOUT UPASNA MADHOK

I am a software engineer with a Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science from Northwestern University. I have over four years of professional experience in developing and maintaining web applications, cloud infrastructure, and fraud prevention systems for leading companies in the food delivery and productivity sectors.Most recently, I spearheaded testing initiatives, tackled high-priority bug resolutions, and contributed significantly to a critical project at Motion, a productivity app that helps users focus and get things done. Previously, I combated payment fraud by designing and building frictions to stop fraudsters, led cross-functional teams as the primary backend engineer, and monitored business metrics to identify and stop new fraud vectors at DoorDash, impacting the company bottom line by over $100M while improving good-user experience. Before that, I improved and maintained deploy tools and cloud infrastructure used by Caviar Engineering at Square, managing AWS cloud resources, Kochiku CI suite, and Jenkins Docker builds end-to-end. I have demonstrated proficiency in C#, AWS, Python, and TypeScript, as well as a keen problem-solving ability, adaptability, and hands-on experience in troubleshooting diverse challenges. I am passionate about creating scalable, secure, and user-friendly software solutions that enhance the lives of millions of people.
