ABOUT ULRIKA PETTERSSON
After working for a number of years as a photographer’s assistant in the small northern Swedish town of Östersund, Ulrika moved to the U.S. to study graphic design at The Miami Ad School. Upon graduation she worked in several design and ad agencies in both Hamburg and Stockholm. She eventually joined POC, a globally recognized, Swedish-based sports equipment and apparel brand, as their Art & Communication Manager. After two great years at POC, Ulrika moved with her husband and two daughters to New York City to pursue a career as a freelance designer. The more she missed Sweden, the more often she found herself baking her Grandmother Rut’s classic Swedish butter cookies. It wasn’t long before Unna Bakery was born. Unna Bakery makes award-winning, low sodium and sugar, Non-GMO and Kosher certified butter cookies based on Grandma Rut’s recipes. Their flavor profiles are unique and has been very well received. Unna is Women Owned Certified and based in NYC.Ulrika’s passions include baking Swedish cinnamon rolls and then eating them, running (luckily!), snowboarding, and watching Game of Thrones. She often says she likes to keep her design work clean, straightforward and simple, just like her Grandmother’s cookies.
