Direct and provide oversight of all human resources operations onboard, analyze, interpret, and apply human resources policies and procedures applicable. Coach and train new employees, facilitating induction & familiarization trainings that drive employee retention and morale. Provide leadership and guidance to the onboard management to drive organizational effectiveness and advance the company values. Resolve and respond to employee grievances and complaints, conducting internal investigations in various department onboard to improve the employee experience and to regulate the complaint compliance as per MLC 2006. To work with the Master, Staff Captain and Chief Security to create a safe work environment and consistent fair application of shipboard disciplinary actions. Monitor and supervise the employee performance appraisal system (Individual Performance Management), career development, promotion, career path and to facilitate the change in department requests ensuring fairness and equal opportunities. Coordinates and jointly working with Ships command and head of the departments to ensure organization and implementation of crew wellbeing programs and activities. Onboard owner of internal communications and crew management, responsible for keeping Employee communications and onboard teams updated. Coordinate the Crew Care team onboard and assistance to the Care Team members in case of crew or guest needs. Onboard safeguarding, providing psychological and emotional support to the vulnerable crew. Work in collaboration with the HR departments shoreside (MSC Sorrento, Geneva and UK offices) as point of contact for onboard employee relations.
