ABOUT UMA MAHARAJ

I help leaders and teams make change that’s fairer, more inclusive, and built to last especially when the work spans many moving parts. With 15+ years across healthcare, public service, finance, and consulting, I partner with organizations to see the whole system (policies, incentives, power, culture, and day-to-day realities) and then turn that understanding into action. I often draw on systems thinking, inclusive design, and change leadership to design change that’s strategic, people-centred, and implementable. This can include equity strategy, culture and leadership work, education/learning design, and redesigning services and decision-making so they work better for the people most affected.I’m especially drawn to work that- embeds equity and anti-oppression into structures, culture, and decision-making- makes room for voices long excluded or undervalued- bridges insight and action in ways grounded in real experienceIf you’re navigating complex change and want a path forward with both clarity and care, I’d welcome a conversation.
