ABOUT ANDREAS ULSAMER

I started my career in the finance and investment sector over 20 years ago and currently serve as an Investment Manager in MEAG’s Private Equity & Co-Investments team. In this role, I have had the pleasure of overseeing and further developing MEAG’s infrastructure fund and co-investment activities since 2021.Before this role, I joined MEAG as a specialist in the Alternative Investment Service team, where I was responsible for investment reporting and planning across various illiquid asset classes, including infrastructure and private equity. My expertise in private markets began with my time at Allianz, where I worked in the Alternative Investments Accounting team. This focus deepened during my Master’s studies in Accounting and Finance at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), where I wrote my thesis on infrastructure assets and insurers\' appetites under solvency regulation.My journey began with a strong interest in stock markets, leading me to a banking apprenticeship at the former HypoVereinsbank. Following comprehensive training with a specialization in private banking, I completed a Bachelor’s in Business Administration at LMU Munich before beginning my career in finance.Note: This is a private account, and all views are my own.
