As a Certification Assistant – Textile, I support the certifier and sustainability team in managing end-to-end certification processes for textile standards such as GRS, RCS, OCS, GOTS and many more. My role focuses on ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the certification workflow — from contracting and risk assessment to scope updates and client communication. Key Responsibilities:Supported multiple sustainability and certification programs across textile and plastics sectors, including recycled content, organic content, environmental compliance, chain of custody, and social compliance.Assisted certifiers with audit preparation, documentation review, client scope verification, and certification readiness assessments.Maintained and verified client registration, scope, and compliance data in internal certification systems to ensure audit readiness and traceability.Acted as liaison with licensees and clients regarding updated standards, sustainability requirements, and compliance obligations.Coordinated with audit, sales, and operations teams to support timely audit scheduling and certification delivery.Processed and analysed certification and client performance data using Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query).Developed and maintained Power BI dashboards to monitor certification status, audit progress, and compliance trends.Ensured data accuracy, confidentiality, and consistency across all certification records and reports. My career in the textile industry has been a journey of continuous learning — from understanding products, processes, and people, to ensuring quality and sustainability in every stage of production. I began my career in sales, where I built strong communication skills and learned how to connect client needs with technical solutions. That experience inspired me to understand textiles more deeply, leading me to work as a lab technician, where I gained hands-on knowledge of textile testing and product standards. Curious about production flow and efficiency, I moved into Production Planning and Inventory Control (PPIC) — learning how quality, timing, and coordination come together to meet customer expectations. My next step as an inspector strengthened my attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance, as I worked directly with factories to evaluate compliance and product standards. Today, I continue this journey as a Certification Assistant – Textile, supporting certification processes for GRS, RCS, OCS, and ISO 9001. In this role, I focus on maintaining data accuracy, coordinating audits, and ensuring clients meet sustainability and compliance requirements. Each role I’ve held has shaped my professional values — integrity, precision, and teamwork — and deepened my passion for advancing quality and sustainability within the textile industry.
