About Ullas Indi
I have over 10 years of experience working on image and video compression/encoding, video quality/bitrate optimizations and video streaming. Over these years I have developed a strong understanding of video compression and optimizations for various use cases. Have a good understanding of video coding formats such as VP9, AV1, H.265/HEVC, H.264/AVC, MPEG2 and have worked on opensource libvpx, libaom, x264, x265, ffmpeg source code. My areas of specializations are Video Compression/codecs, Signal Processing, video quality metrics. I\'m interested in topics such as Machine Learning, Computer Vision and their applications in video/image processing.At Hotstar, I was part of the Encoding team and worked on Video Encoding Algorithms to improve video quality/bitrates and the overall streaming experience.At Bitmovin, I was part of the Video Encoding team and focused on improving the Bitmovin\'s Encoding solution.At Ittiam I was part of video codec team where I worked on analysis/optimization of open source video codecs. Helped achieve quality improvements in VP9 encoder through LAP (Look Ahead Processing) and rate control algorithms.
