Ukpeme Akpan Okon is a Principal at The Values String, LLC, a company that provides peacebuilding, leadership, and personal development services. She is also a Barrister-at-Law, an arbitrator, a mediator, and an Ambassador for Peace, with over 14 years of experience in law practice, training, and conflict resolution. Ukpeme is the Founder and President of Guild of Adjudicators in Nigeria (GAIN), a nonprofit organization with Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, that promotes arbitration and adjudication as effective means of dispute settlement. She is also the author of The Values String: A book on Transitional Life, Compelling Fulfillment, and Profound Peace, a book that inspires readers to live purposefully and peacefully. Ukpeme has delivered papers and presentations at various local and international events, and has served as a panelist at a High Level event of the United Nations General Assembly. She is a Rotarian, and a member of several professional and civic organizations, and a recipient of multiple awards and recognitions. Ukpeme is passionate about peacebuilding, music, dancing, volunteering, travelling, wellness, and nature. She is musically known as UkpEmem.
