Responsibilities:• Lead a team of VMware professionals in managing and maintaining a large-scale virtualized environment across multiple data centers.• Streamlining the process and ensure all process are inline to reduce the number of tickets.• Daily health checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning to meet business requirements.• Upgrade, Patching, Commission and Decommission ESXi hosts.• Upgrade, Patching, Commission and Decommission vCenters (6.X,7,8)• Migration of vcenters from Windows based to appliances.• Migration of hosts, VMs in vcenters.• Handling the multiple SDDCs on VMC environments.• HCX migrations from on Prem to VMC cloud environment using HCX.• VSAN disk group creations, disk addition, VSAN policy creation.• NSX management and upgrading NSX and Edge appliance to latest version.• VXRAIL management, prechecks and upgrades, Alerts handling, health checks.• Coordinating with vendor till the end for VXRAIL activities.• SRM configuration, Health checks, upgrades, migrations and Taking part in DR activity.• Capacity analysis for VMC on AWS clusters and health checks.• VROPS management for alerts, monitoring and VROPS upgrades.• Planning and implementation of firmware\\driver upgrades for the ESXi hosts.• Management of hosts using the Dell OME.• Planning of upgrades and decommission of hosts EOL and for better resource utilization.• Creating templates for Change management and optimization of process.• Addressing the vulnerabilities reported for the environment and rigorously taking actions.• Working on Dell blade and standalone devices (R620,R640,R670,R720,R740,XD, M620, M820,R820, R830)• Dell chassis management and Firmware upgrades.• Datacenter maintenance activities (Power \\ Storage \\ Network)• Weekly reports using script and capacity management reports.• Handling Patsks and RCA calls.• Actively troubleshooting issues related to VMops by collaborating with Vmware support and other internal teams.
