ABOUT UGOCHI WEST

Ugochi is a Program Coordinator at CEED, a nonprofit organization that supports entrepreneurs and innovators in Atlantic Canada. She oversees the Leveling It Up Program, a project funded by the WES Ecosystem Fund: a Federal Government Initiative committed to advancing gender equality and women\'s economic empowerment and to supporting women entrepreneurs through the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy which aims to upskill and empower diverse, intersectional, and underserved women through mentorship, training, and networking. She has a Master of Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MTEI) from the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary\'s University, where she also worked as a Business Development Consultant and a Venture Associate. With over a decade of experience in strategy, innovation, and financial services, Ugochi has a proven track record of helping small businesses grow, scale, and succeed. She is passionate about value creation, customer satisfaction, and social impact, and has received multiple awards and recognitions for her leadership and contributions. She is a U.S. Department of State’s 2018 Mandela Washington Fellow and also the founder and former program director of Alvana\'s Legacy For Africa, a social enterprise that provides mentorship and empowerment to women and youth in Nigeria. Her team members and colleagues describe her as a smart target-oriented person who is passionate about value creation, and customer satisfaction and is always willing to take up challenges.
