I am a Co-Founder and Co-Director at The Restart Project with a focus on our international work and partnerships We are a London-based charity and social enterprise encouraging people to use their electronics longer in order to reduce unnecessary waste. We help people learn to repair their own electronics in community events and speak publicly and campaign about the importance of the Right to repair. We\'re a founding member of the European Right to Repair campaign (https://repair.eu), pushing for a universal right to repair: requiring manufacturers to make product affordable to repair for everyone by design, providing long-term access for everyone to repair information and spare parts, as well as long-term software and security updates. I have over 15 years of experience in international development at the crossing of appropriate information and communication technologies, agricultural development and communication for development. As a researcher, I\'ve worked extensively on participatory uses of new media technologies by farmers communities in Kenya Interests: repair cultures, ecodesign, ethical electronics, ICT4D, communication for development, Transition Towns, community development, rural agricultural development, free and open source solutions, appropriate technologies
