About Udit Garg

Graduated with a double major in Marketing and Supply Chain Management from the Kelley School of Business. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, I have grown up with exposure to the intricacies of the business world and have been able to first-hand learn the importance of innovation, risk-taking, problem solving, and continuous learning. At an extremely early age, I visited my father’s factory and was amazed to learn more about the back-end processes of the products we see on the front-line. This helped me develop an inclination towards diverse opportunities that allow me to challenge myself and continuously evolve with the industries around me. My past experience as a Supply Chain Management intern at Hygea Care allowed me to integrate my classroom knowledge with real life business challenges as I attempted to develop an international network of suppliers and efficient delivery systems amidst the pandemic. This unique opportunity allowed me to not only further improve my logistical and analytical skills but also indulge in an initiative to aid the community through the adversities of the pandemic. Having joined the Woodstock School community at the young age of 12, I have grown up in the green hills of Mussoorie, which were a sheer juxtaposition against the sooted city of Kanpur I call home. While volunteering for a city cleanup, I identified a lapse in the waste management system of Kanpur. Being an extrovert who enjoys engaging with the community, I attempted to resolve this problem by launching a non-profit organisation, Revive. Revive is dedicated to diverting surplus food from a network of established restaurants to orphanages for underprivileged children. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with people from different backgrounds and develop a diverse perspective that facilitates my ability to adapt with the changing times and overcome my challenges to meet my goals. I am inclined towards Supply Chain and Marketing and I am driven towards opportunities that will help me gain valuable industry insights.

   A non-profit organisation mainly related to waste management. As the co-founder, I gathered a team and we supplied food from restaurants in Kanpur in refrigerated trucks, distributing the same to orphanages and street children in and around Kanpur.• Effectively supplied food for the children in 3 orphanages.• Managed funds given by 4 sponsors to make efficient use of it and perform this activity on multiple occasions.• Created a stable network with owners of 4 restaurants in Kanpur to ensure this initiative remains uninterrupted, and continued managing the food waste and sending it to orphanages.
