As a Design Engineer at Baaz Bikes, I work on the development and refinement of innovative electric vehicle solutions focused on last-mile urban mobility. I play an integral role in the mechanical design and engineering of e-scooters and associated components, ensuring performance, durability, and manufacturability.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and 3D modeling of key structural and mechanical components using CAD software (SolidWorks / CATIA / Fusion 360).Develop and revise engineering drawings, GD & T, and BOMs for production and prototyping.Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency of designed parts.Perform design validation through simulation, tolerance analysis, and physical testing feedback.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including battery, electronics, and manufacturing to ensure design integration and product reliability.Support continuous improvement in design for assembly (DFA) and design for manufacturing (DFM).This role has enabled me to combine hands-on engineering with innovation, contributing to the evolution of sustainable mobility solutions at a fast-paced EV startup.
