ABOUT UDAYAN YADAV
Developing robotic systems through systems thinking.Working at the intersection where abstract control logic meets mechanical reality. Most failures I\'ve encountered don’t come from a single bad component, but they snowball as one decision affects the next across the entire system. I design with that in mind from the start. My approach has always been progression based. Build small, master the coupling between structure and control, then expand. It\'s slower than jumping to complexity, but it forces clarity early. I\'ve learned that skipping steps feels faster until it isn\'t.The artificial pancreas testbench was where the systems thinking was tested in reality. No templates existed, only constraints. I designed end-to-end mechanical architecture, embedded control and calibrated precise sensors while also preserving novelty. The real challenge wasn\'t individual subsystems working, it was ensuring one design choice didn\'t quietly undermine another downstream. This taught me that systems thinking isn’t theoretical, it’s watching your decisions echo across the system.I\'ve applied this way of thinking across soft robotics, ROS2 based workflows, battle bots, and human robot interaction. There\'s always tension between elegant design and functional design, I spend time optimizing that gap and designing systems that are both functionally sound and aesthetically apt.Currently, I\'m deepening my work with digital twins and closed-loop control architectures, particularly interested in bridging simulation and reality, using tools like Isaac Sim to predict and optimize robot behavior before it hits the bench. Systems where simulation, control logic, and physical hardware inform each other in real-time. Feel free to reach out!
