ABOUT UPEKSHA AMARASINGHE
I\'m a product-minded data scientist interested in shaping product and growth using data. I\'ve been drawn to problems that aim to expand economic opportunity for individuals and answering the question of who gets left behind when technology moves fast. I\'m currently building software to help F500 executives understand how GenAI will impact their workforces at Workhelix. Previously, at Shopify I was the lead Data Scientist for marketing automations, working with 300K+ monthly active merchants and helping product leadership independently track $10M/month in attributable GMV. Before that, I spent years in labor market data products and research at MaRS and SkillLab, building data products to help marginalized workers navigate AI, COVID-19, and the green economy.
