ABOUT MARCO PAONESSA
A driven and hardworking fourth-year student at the University of Alberta, pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce with a Major in Finance and Minor in Accounting. A dependable and team-oriented worker who has pursued industry-related work experience to supplement his theoretical learnings from the classroom, Marco has spent 8 months in FP & A with Nutrien and has worked as a Teaching Assistant for Probability & Statistics at the University of Alberta. With hopes of continuing a career in Alberta, Marco most recently worked for Cenovus Energy to expand his knowledge in Canada’s energy sector.With plans to obtain his CFA designation, Marco is hoping to pursue a career in Capital Markets where he can leverage his analytical skills to assist firms with raising capital and exploring growth opportunities.Outside of school and work, Marco enjoys playing sports such as golf, volleyball, and hockey, travelling, and spending time with friends and family.
