About Tzung-Mao Wu
I’m a technically driven CMC Scientist with a strong foundation in chemical engineering and upstream bioprocess development. My focus is on bridging early-phase process design with practical scale-up and manufacturability.I have hands-on experience developing upstream processes for biologics, including AAV and other viral vectors. I specialize in anticipating scale-up challenges early in development and designing robust processes that account for equipment constraints, mass transfer limitations, and critical quality attribute (CQA) risks.I work closely with MS & T, QA, and regulatory teams to ensure process designs are scientifically sound, GMP-ready, and aligned with long-term commercial strategies.
