Obtains and reviews all relevant medical records to determine donor eligibility. Conducts health screening questions via telephone with next of kin of the potential donor, to discuss the possibility of organ/tissue donation. Maintains an average rate of 65% or higher on cold calls. Maintains a rate of 100% on registry calls. Maintains an average rate of 60 donors per month. Retrieves all event-related documentation from hospital, emergency medical services, medical examiners, etc, in a timely manner. Address and resolve next of kin’s concerns and/or complaints empathetically and professionally. Defuse volatile donor situations calmly and courteously. Input referrals (Average of 20-25 referrals a day) info software system and refer cases to appropriate partnering agencies. Knowledge of FDA Regulations/AATB Standards/Legacy Donor Services Foundation policies and protocols necessary in performing job duties.
